Fund a project

Do you want to play a significant role in the transition towards a worldwide circular economy?

The PREVENT Waste Alliance provides you with unique funding opportunities and the chance to join forces with key players in the circular economy to create collective impact!

Why fund projects and activities of the PREVENT Waste Alliance?

The PREVENT Waste Alliance is a recognized international network with a proven track record in developing and piloting successful circular solutions and tools. We focus on countries and regions where circular economy solutions are most promising. Transparent and inclusive circular systems that promote economic welfare while protecting the environment and ensuring social justice are of utmost importance to us.

PREVENT is currently financially supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Your financial contribution will top up public funding of the German Federal Government and allow the Alliance to extend its scale and impact.

Your benefits

  • Allocate funds according to your strategy to tackle the circular economy challenges that are most important to you.
  • Pool resources with PREVENT members and increase the scale and impact of circular solutions while minimising individual risks.
  • Benefit from the innovation power, cross-sector expertise, and state-of-the art tools of the PREVENT practitioners.
  • Test solutions under real conditions in different countries/regions in collaboration with local partners and experts.
  • Gain high visibility for your project. The PREVENT secretariat will communicate the activities financed by you on all its media channels, reaching a large audience of relevant stakeholders.

With your additional funding we can develop new circular economy innovations, replicate or upscale successful solutions and tools and integrate them into (inter-)national guidelines and standards. Let’s join forces to achieve more together!

You have two options for financing or co-financing activities (such as projects/studies/events) of the PREVENT Waste Alliance:

Option A)

You channel funds through the PREVENT Secretariat (GIZ) for specific activities. The scope and timeline of the activities will be agreed upon in a co-financing agreement, which requires a minimum contribution of 250,000 EUR. You can also pool smaller amounts with other organisations.

Option B)

You use the PREVENT Waste Alliance as a platform for project development, implementation, and communication (without channelling funds through the PREVENT secretariat).
