PREVENT Hosts the Fourth Cohort of its Leadership Training for Multipliers

From 26th to 30th August, PREVENT hosted the fourth cohort of its leadership training for multipliers in the circular economy. We are honoured to have worked with an amazing group of changemakers from Philippines, Germany, Nigeria, Moldova, Ghana, Norway, India, Switzerland, Mexico, Morocco, and the UK!

These 16 selected changemakers, all members of the PREVENT Waste Alliance, met in Berlin, Germany to grow together on their leadership journey. The training aimed to support the participants in connecting with themselves and their peers from the global circular economy community, and gave them tools to further their leadership skills.

The training covered four dimensions of leadership:
🌿 Leading self
🌿 Leading teams
🌿 Leading organisations
🌿 Leading social change

It covered topics such as the different archetypes of leadership, reflections on personal values, peer consultation sessions, team development and change management. And also featured a valuable session with Clemens Feigl from PREVENT member Everwave on organisational change.

“I wish that the PREVENT will continue this leadership training because I think it is imperative that people have the opportunity to experience what we have experienced this week,” says one participant whilst reflecting on the five days spent in Berlin.

This training showed that bringing our members together to work on their joint leadership challenges is highly needed and truly effective. We plan to offer more trainings in the future to continue this important work and want to thank our fantastic group of participants as well as our trainers – Michael Beyer and Ann-Christin Berger!

What is the PREVENT Leadership Training?

With the PREVENT Waste Alliance Leadership Training for Multipliers, circular economy change agents engage in cutting-edge leadership learning to develop individual and collective leadership skills. The participants learn how to make a difference for the circular economy, jointly find solutions, and act as multipliers for effective leadership within their spheres of influence.

As an exclusive offer for our members, PREVENT aims to connect circular economy practitioners worldwide and jointly work on circular economy challenges. The training is conducted by Como Consult and spans five days.
