PCX Solutions | Launch of the Alternative Material Certificate (AMC) Framework

The plastic crisis has a market failure at its core. Fossil-based plastics are artificially cheap as their environmental costs are not priced within supply chains. This prevents the transition to sustainable alternative materials and continues to contribute to plastic pollution.

To address this issue, PREVENT member PCX Solutions has developed the Alternative Material Certificate (AMC) Framework, an innovative financing mechanism designed to incentivize the replacement of fossil-based plastics with sustainable alternatives, thereby accelerating its adoption and transforming supply chains for the better.

Join their Launch Event of the AMC Framework on 9 July 2026 at 4:00 PM GMT+8 / 10:00 AM CEST on Zoom. PCX Solutions will introduce the AMC and, together with Industry, Research and Civil Society Experts, discuss the role of alternative materials in addressing plastic pollution.
