Wasteless Wednesdays Webinars on Marine Litter Reduction

On 1 June, the EU-German Government funded ‘Rethinking Plastics – Circular Economy Solutions to Marine Litter’ project will kick-off its ‘Wasteless Wednesdays’ online knowledge-sharing series.

The five sessions, running from 1 June to 6 July each at 14.30-16.00 Bangkok time, will enhance regional exchange on marine litter reduction and share the expertise generated throughout the three years of the “Rethinking Plastics” project implementation with a specific focus on the more than 20 pilot projects supported. These pilots cover efforts for sustainable consumption and production of plastics, improving plastic waste management on land and from the sea as well as awareness raising activities.

The first session will be on ‘Rethinking Plastics – How international collaboration supports circular economy solutions for single-use plastics’ and will present successful cooperation for policy development as well as on the ground piloting of alternative packaging solutions and useful knowledge products that were developed. The session is an official partner event of the EU Green Week. Registration for the session: bit.ly/wasteless-wednesdays1
