Waste management done right – Call for Listeners

The lecture series of the German-MENA university network does not only cover the theory behind waste management but also includes experience reports from GIZ and German communities. Don’t miss the opportunity to discuss waste management with them on May 12th and May 19th.

Through the support of the PREVENT Waste Alliance the German-MENA university network has been offering online lectures to students and other interested listeners in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco. This semester numerous guest lecturers have been invited in order to provide a broad and highly specialised point of view on the interdisciplinary field of waste management.

Proper management of residues and circular economy is not only possible in theory but is already practised. How and where this is the case, representatives of GIZ Algeria and GIZ Jordan and the association of communal companies (German: Verband Deutscher Kommunen e. V.; short: VKU) will present in the upcoming lectures on May 12th and May 19th respectively. Furthermore, three Start-Ups from the MENA-region and Germany will present their initiatives on June 16th (see schedule in the picture).

The three lectures will not only include reports but also discussions. Especially since there are many waste professionals under the listeners of the lecture as also they know: You never end up learning something new and get a fresh perspective on things!

Everyone is welcome to join. The lectures take place on Thursday, May 12th and May 19th from 9:00 – 12AM CEST under this zoom link.
