We joined the alliance because we’re convinced more can be achieved together. We’ll never achieve the Sustainable Development Goals on our own, but if everyone does their bit, it can be done!
It’s important to us that every piece of rubbish is reused where possible. We try to pave the way for the circular economy, in particular, within developing countries. One example is cement bags in Cambodia. The capital, Phnom Penh, is currently experiencing a major construction boom. In Cambodia, cement is packaged in plastic bags to protect it from the high humidity. We ensure these cement bags are collected from building sites, cleaned and then turned into wonderful bags and accessories. As such, we’re not only doing something for the environment, but at the same time, we’re making a small contribution to the development of fair jobs in one of the poorest countries on the planet.
