SRADeV Nigeria became a member of the PREVENT Waste Alliance to further strengthen its advocacy on waste management. As a member of other global networks with focus on hazardous waste management, safe chemical use, and environmental management, we advocate on the domestication of international laws and policies while being guided by the buzzword: Think Globally, Act Locally.
To SRADeV Nigeria, circular economy is about achieving a zero-waste system in the environment. This is a system where waste produced from any part of the environment is reusable in another part to achieve a pollution and waste-free environment. We research and advocate circular waste management methods which we recommend for industrialists and policy makers in Nigeria to achieve a circular economy. We work with ministries, departments and agencies to develop policies on circular economy, we advocate, raise awareness and also give technical advice to the government on models and approaches to a circular economy that will meet local needs.
