19. June 2020,
The Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat) of South-West Netherlands and RDM Center of Expertise (RDM CoE) of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences will collaborate with over 20 organisations to tackle plastics in rivers – to prevent them from ever reaching the North Sea. Rijkswaterstaat has taken the initiative to bring parties together in the approach to plastic in open water. Together with RDM CoE, the Community of Practice Plastic (CoPP) is founded, in which experiences and knowledge are shared and work is carried out on joint knowledge development.
The Letter of Intent is signed to jointly tackle plastics in open water with organisations such as CLEAR RIVERS; for a list of all the partners, please see: http://www.rdmcoe.nl/themas/resilientcity/copplastic
