SetTIC

SetTIC is an e-waste recycler based in Senegal. It was founded by two female engineers Boussoura and Julie, with the aim to create an environmentally sound, clean and safe alternative to the recycling performed by the informal sector. The company collects and recycles computers, mobile phones, printers, IT and network equipments, batteries and printer cartridges. SetTIC also provides e-waste collection boxes for batteries, smaller items such as mobile phones and printer cartridges. Companies place these boxes in their offices in order to make it easier for individuals to dispose of their e-waste (“bridging the last mile”). SetTIC has developed a massive experience in e-waste recycling, including addressing the corporate market, interacting with the government, developing partnerships with some international organisations and recyclers.
