RWA Group SCE

Resources and Waste Advisory (RWA) Group is a cooperative of four member companies, effectively a think tank working on the front line of development practice as policy advisors, change agents and development practitioners. RWA promotes innovation, shares best practices, develops new methods, and finds practical solutions on a day-to-day basis. We are niche specialised in urban development, waste and resources management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and circular economy. Entering the international development industry in 2009, RWA is now delivering projects in a tally of over 70 countries.

We face an enormous challenge. The rising tide of climate change threatens the Earth’s ecosystem, plastic materials inhabit the heights and depths of the Planet, over two billion people lack access to basic waste collection services. Ocean plastics, Climate change, Sustainable development, Circular economy, Green growth are converging agendas. How effectively, and how quickly, countries align policy, institutional, financial, economic, and environmental regulatory frameworks to the new challenges will have a long-lasting effect on economic competitiveness and social welfare. As policy makers, development practitioners and change agents, we must work together closely, synergise our efforts and drive forward innovation.

Circular economy gives us an opportunity to renew our governance frameworks, production practices, consumption habits, and ways of thinking. Within the circular economy paradigm, RWA is focused on transforming good policy into practice, and good practice into policy. Learning from what works in different economic, social and cultural contexts, gathering and analysing evidence to support effective decision making, crystallising new approaches, methods, and tools, and helping people to get the best out of themselves and their organisations. RWA is a partner of the global circular economy movement.
