Polysecure GmbH

Polysecure GmbH is a growing technology company with currently 35 employees. We develop and produce inorganic and organic marker particles for product and material authentication and tracking as well as for Tracer-Based-Sorting. In addition, we also develop the measurement techniques and devices for the detection of the markers and for articles. Our expertise includes: inorganic and organic chemistry, solid state physics, optical physics, electronics, plant and machine engineering, software methods for object and pattern recognition. Polysecure is accompanied by an industry advisory board with 13 high-ranking representatives from industry, politics and science. The technologies are the basis to improve recycling processes and recyclate qualities.

Our company would like to work more on an international basis in networks and with other partners to improve and develop green technologies for least developed countries. With PREVENT, it will be possible to meet other important players in the field of circular economy to implement new plastic recycling projects. For better and more recycling countries need a political basis and the right legal background, therefore we all have to work in larger alliances. Ambitious environmental policies and quality standards in as many countries as possible are the goals we want to advance. This can certainly be achieved particularly well with the PREVENT Waste Alliance.

Circular Economy in the Future – Major Demands:
Less than 10 % of waste is recycled after use, major problems exist with plastics and inefficient recovery and recycling. Massive industrial development, especially in South-East Asia and Africa, and population growth will lead to an increase in the amount of waste. In many developing and emerging countries, but also in some EU member states, waste is still disposed illegally, but waste is a resource and should be handled well and identified as raw material. Environmental pollution burdens biodiversity and threatens sustainable development worldwide. The circular economy offers very important technological approaches here, which must be further promoted and recycling rates have to be increased.
