Through the 2021 GrowUp cohort, Yunus Environment Hub will address environmental degradation and youth unemployment through supporting innovative solutions for sustainable waste management that have the potential to create substantial environmental and social impact and to advance the circular economy in Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Burundi. During the 6-month program incubatees will receive bi–weekly tailored mentorship based on their needs, interactive capacity-building workshops, networking events with local partners, peer-to-peer support as well as will have access to funding and other opportunities by pitching their business plan to investors and other ecosystem actors.
