Facts and figures about the German plastics market

The plastics industry is reissuing its study on the flow of plastics in Germany. The established study provides a comprehensive picture of the circular economy with plastics.

Reliable facts and figures on the plastics market help to document progress in recovery and recycling and to bring more objectivity into a partly heated debate through transparency. With the plastics material flow study, in which the entire industry value chain participates, the plastics industry has been providing a reliable and detailed compendium on the production, consumption, waste generation and recycling of plastics in Germany since 1998. For the 12th time now, data collection by the partners of the study and Conversio Market & Strategy GmbH has started, which creates the “Material flow study for plastics in Germany 2019”.
