Crowdfunding platforms for municipal solid waste services delivery

UN-Habitat wants to present two crowdfunding platforms: Planet Heroes and Earth Restore Network mobilise funds to support local and national governments and other waste actors in solid waste management service delivery and sustainable resource management, also during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The continuity of municipal solid waste management delivery is vital to ensure the well-being of residents as well as to prevent the spread of diseases.

Planet Heroes
This platform is dedicated to ecological activities and founded to create a habit of regular clean-up activities as a source of income, as well as encourage people to take responsibility for public space. Also, the Planet Heroes platform supports initiatives that tackle challenges related to COVID-19 emergency.

Earth Restore Network
This platform is mainly focusing on African countries as a preferred region, but it has no geographical limitations. The targeted activities are related to plastic pollution prevention, circular economy, awareness and education, renewable energy, tackling climate change, resource management and zero-waste, cleantech, carbon capture technologies and other similar fields.

You can directly contact them and submit your projects.
