To share insights and collaborate on initiatives focusing on sustainable development and circular economy. We initiate projects and collaborate with our members and their stakeholders; becoming a member would benefit us greatly in knowledge transfer and capacity building. An example would be plastics recycling in hospitals and home care in Malaysia, a multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to collect high-quality used PVC medical products for recycling into useful new products. This initiative is based on a program set-up in 2009 and now successfully working in 230 hospitals across Australia and New Zealand.
BCSD Malaysia, through its Circular Economy Working Group, offers a safe pre-competitive space in which the concerned business community and other relevant stakeholders can gather and initiate collaborative projects on circular economy and channel advocacy efforts for progressive sustainability policies to the government of Malaysia and other relevant regulatory bodies. Circular Economy is one of six pillars of focus that we work in with our members, and is a key area for projects, initiatives, and training that we deliver for our network.
