Basel Convention Coordinating Centre for the African Region

Our Centre (BCCC-Africa) is one of the regional centres of the Basel Convention that were established to support Parties to the Basel convention in the implementation of the provisions of the convention for the environmentally sound management of hazardous and other wastes. This we do through capacity building activities, information dissemination, technology transfer, and special projects. As a coordinating centre, the mandate of BCCC-Africa covers the entire Africa continent.
